We would like to introduce the effects of WPC treatment conducted by Fujikihan Co., Ltd. When SKD11 material is subjected to quenching and tempering treatment, the microstructure from the surface to about 10μm is refined, and microcracks at the grain boundaries disappear. The surface hardness of the modified layer increases from 700Hv to 1000Hv, and the internal compressive residual stress significantly changes from 200MPa to 1100MPa.
